Ghana Hotels Association (Central Regional Branch) in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Authority (Central Region) and Ghana Police Service (Central Command) will hold a “GHA REGIONAL SECURITY FORUM” to discuss the role of hotels in mitigating terrorism in the country. The forum will also look at how to make hotels safer and more secured for guests, staff and the general public.
Security threats generally include organised crime, industrial espionage in private lives as well as extremist attacks such as terrorism, violence or vandalism.
It is becoming more and more obvious that Hotels must increasingly adapt to threats of higher intensity and complexity.
In recent times, many security analysts and security agencies in the country have all issued warnings and raised the Red Flags of the potential security threat to the country. The government in acting proactively, launched a program dubbed “See Something, Say Something” to get the citizens involved in the fight against security threats.
GHA Regional Security Forum:
As an association that represents the national pulse of the Hotel industry in the country, it is imperative that we provide the platform for the discussion of issues related to efforts at mitigating terrorism in the country. More so when insecurity has a direct negative impact on our businesses.
The first step in ensuring the security and safety of our guests and thereby protect our investments is to gain some knowledge and understanding of terrorism related matters and how we can contribute to mitigating those threats as hoteliers.
The GHA Regional Security forum, under the theme' "Mitigating terrorism; the role of Hotels".
The forum will come off on 19th August at Ridge Royal Hotel- Cape Coast. This is a must attend programme for all hotels in the Central Region of Ghana.
