Muslim women in Ghana were charged by speakers at the Ghana Muslimah dialogue forum to discover their true purpose in life by taking up leadership and entrepreneurial skills in various fields of work.
The forum which is one of its kind was organized by the Miss Muslimah Ghana Foundation and was to creat a platform for Muslim women to deliberate on how they could build and hold themselves in high esteem.
The program brought together representations from different fields of art to add their voice to the need for the Muslim woman to find her true self to fit the contemporary woman of today.
Hajia Jamila Husein Banson a psychiatric nurse at the Accra psychiatric hospital said there is the need for women to be mentally sound and feet to be able to leave up to the task ahead of them where is advised women to always consult in their endeavors so as to have a clear cut of how to tackle issue rather than keep them to themselves. This according to her will help release the tension and stress women go through in their life and lead a happy life.
Meanwhile a lecturer at the University of Applied Management who also doubles as the personal assistant to the national chief imam Dr. Mohammed Marzuk Abubakar Azindo said we need to look at the significance of women in leadership and entrepreneurship. He said women need to venture into advocacy and call for a development fund that they themselves will handle and by so doing he said will empower them to occupy high positions in Ghana. Again he emphasized on the need to have more women in our training institutions particularly the institutions of science and technology.
On his part a youth motivational speaker Aboruf M Kush Tain said Muslim women must discover a purpose for their life. He said many great men and women today have attain success all because they have found purpose and that has made life meaningful and worthy of living it.
In attendance at the forum were Zongo chiefs, doctors, Scholars, business men and women, youth groups and the media.
