The opposition NDC is finally set to go to court. The decision came up after the scrutinizing the pink sheet .
Wednesday,30 December 2020 is the deadline of the mandatory 21 days period of the electoral law for any political party that is unhappy with the results or declaration to file any legal challenges.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the NDC, has portrayed the EC's decision as "FLAWED" and would not accepted it .
According to the Ghana News Agency(GNA),Mr Rockson Nelson Deafeamekpor, a member of the NDC’s legal team, said: “After sleepless nights, we have gone through all the pink sheets and have relevant documents to present to the Court.”
He added that: “We will go to court. We have made that clear and certainly, by Wednesday, all these matters would be placed before the Court,”.
The electoral commission had on many occasions ,flouted the electoral law and that has motivated the NDC to seek legal redress to ensure that the acceptable ways and processes for conducting elections were strictly adhered to,he said.
