His Royal Highness Chief Alhaji Yahya Hamisu Bako accompanied by his subchiefs on Friday 25th October 2020 paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana. The purpose of the visit was to commiserate with the High Commmissioner, the people of Nigeria and especially the royal family of Zazzau for the loss of their Emir Alhaji Shehu Iddris.
The Emir who passed the week before was the longest serving Emir of the people of Zazzau in Kaduna.
Sarkin Zango was accompanied by subchiefs like Chief Adnan Musah (Chief of Official Town Zango), Chief Alhaji Amadu Manga ( Chief of Zanfarawa- Greater Accra), Chief Gadafi Sherif (Chief of Agape Gonse), Alhaji Murtala Kariki ( Sarkin Fada), among others.
Speaking on behalf of Sarkin Zango Ankara, Alhaji Salim Ango recounted the history and ties of Zango people here in Ghana with the people of Northern Nigeria and the reason therefore for the solidarity being shown to the people of Zazzau.
On her part, the Nigerian High Commissioner H.E. Mrs Esther Ademola Arewa expressed her gratitude to His Royal Highness for his visit and promised to transmit the letter of condolences and the detail of the visit to the Royal Family of Zazzau.
She further prayed for the deepening of the relationship between the Nigerian Mission in Ghana and the Zango Community in Ghana.
HRH signed the book of condolences and said special prayers for the late Emir Shehu Iddris
