Sheik Anas and Justice Tanko had a productive conversation and the outcome of their discussions aimed at Championing a plan for the Muslim Community which is before the Attorney General since 2017. The Muslim Marriage and Divorce bill 2017 has been drafted and has been on hold, yet to be introduced to parliament for endorsement yet shockingly it is still in the Attorney Generals’ office.
Sheikh Anas led the congregational prayers at Justice Tanko's mosque and appealed to God for Allaah's direction and assurance onto him.
The sheikh confirmed Justice Tanko-Amadu is indeed a true Muslim, he said.
On a Facebook LIVE program, the Sheikh assured the Muslim Community of his full support for the Bill and called on all Muslim scholars and Imams to join in advancing this great cause
In his announcement he said," the Christian heads and ministers have been enabled to give marriage endorsement under this sort of bill and we Muslim pioneers can likewise do same if this bill is passed. All Muslim marriages will be perceived by the law and property conveyance too in line with the Religion"
The Sheik added that he will incorporate the Muslim Marriage and Divorce bill in the entirety of his proclaiming since this is a decent cause
