Lawyer Seidu H. Nasigri is the legal officer to the National Chief Imam and a former lecturer at the Islamic University College, Accra, Ghana.
In an interview with Hausa Tv he stated that ,Sheikh Anas Tawfiq could be persecuted for defamation of Character against Justice Tanko.
According to the lawyer,Sheikh Anas has made a false statement against the Justice.This is to ruin the reputation and tarnish the image of the Supreme Court Judge.It is an offense which is punishable by law and he can be jailed if found liable.
Accusing the Justice as a drunkard and a non-practicing Muslim without facts is a crime.
He advised the Muslim Community to be very careful in our choices of words and refrain from insults.
