According to an eyewitness, one 21 year old Solomon Okeyre perpetrated the act following a heated misunderstanding between him and the deceased.
The misunderstandings resulted to fights between them that led to a cervical fracture, commonly called a broken neck on Baba Abdullahi leading to his sudden death.
The incident occurred at the Ghana commercial Bank Ahinsan branch, when the 74 year Old man stopped Solomon Okeyre from fetching water in the Bank premises as ordered by the authorities "that outsiders are not be allowed to use the bank's water"
"Solomon got offend; results raining insults on the Oldman and hitted him hard severally on his neck" an eye witness recounts.
He was rushed to the SDA hospital Ahinsan; later referred to the Okomfo Anokye Emergency unit where he passed away due to 'damaged neck'.
The suspect, Solomon was arranged before the Asokwa Circuit court today.
The case has been adjourned to Friday, 24 January, 2020. While the suspect remains in custody.

Until his death, Baba Abdullahi was a security officer at the Ghana commercial Bank Ahinsan branch. After his pension, he was re-employed by as cleaner at the Bank with an agency Vintage Cleaning Services.
