In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger Muhammad and his house hold.
Ashura definitely reflects a sorrowful event in the History of mankind, as a result of the quest to restore sanity, security, and justice against corruption, tyranny and oppression.
We are certainly in a crucial era which is mared by insecurity, corruption, oppression and all manner of injustice.
It is therefore our collective resolve as followers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saww)and his infallible house hold (as) to contribute in diverse ways to deepen and expand the relative peace, tolerance, justice and security in our dear Republic of Ghana.
Domestically, Ghana would soon be at a crossroad as a result of the impending 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential elections. We therefore call for fare electioneering campaign devoid of the use of intemperate languages.
We also use the occasion to draw the attention of the Federal government of Nigeria to respect the rule of law, democracy and adopt a civilized way and manner of ruling and uniting the people devoid of hate and biggotry against the minority Shia Muslims.
