Deputy National Iman of Ghana dies at age 103

The Deputy Chief National Iman of Ghana, Sheikh Kamaludeen Abubakar has passed on at his residence in Nima,Accra. Sheikh,whose health has deteriorated for some time now , would be laid to rest  at 2:00PM GMT  today at the Awudome cemetary. A  close friend of the  National Chief Imam,Sheikh Osumanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the  two can be credited for the development of Islam in Ghana .


Sheikh Kamaludeen  Abubakar is a nice to meet man,a social character and no doubt ,one of the renowned  Islamic scholars  to be blessed by Ghana.His teachings, interpretations and eloquence in  both Arabic and English represents  a symbol of gift for our communities. The  brother of the late  Sheikh Shuaib, and father of the  national imam of the Shia community in Ghana was 103
